Sustainable farm holidays at Babioshof
For generations we have taken pride and joy in cultivating the vineyards and apple orchards that surround our Babioshof farm. As farmers, we have a symbiotic relationship with nature, living and working according to the rhythm of the seasons. Nature is part of our daily lives, and we love it. So, working in a sustainable way is the obvious choice for us. From energy sources to transport, we have special consideration for the environment in everything we do.

The scent of fruit
All our vineyards and apple orchards are located around our farm, in Kaltern.
Sun-ripened goodness
With an average of 300 days of sunshine a year, our apples get the best conditions for growing. We deliver our fruit to the Roen cooperative for distribution to apple lovers all over the world.
Our wine range
We cultivate vineyards at different altitudes, which allows us to grow both red and white grapes, such as Pinot blanc or Cabernet. We deliver our grapes to the local Kaltern winery, where they are turned into excellent wines.

the seasons
Every season has its own unique charm. Experience nature’s ever-changing beauty, from spring blossoms to winter’s white stillness.
A sea of pink and white petals, buds everywhere, and a sweet scent in the air. When nature awakens, follow Imma on a walk through the blossoming trees, on a guided tour of Kaltern or a wine-themed tour organised by the local Tourist Association.
The bright colours and inviting scents reveal the first fruits ripening under the sun. Here in the southern part of South Tyrol, summer carries a touch of Mediterranean lightness.
Michael and Stefan reap the fruits of their labour: ripe apples and juicy grapes. In autumn, the South Tyrolean landscape lights up with a triumph of colours – come and enjoy the show!
After months of hard work, it’s finally time to rest… a bit! When nature plunges into her wintry beauty sleep, we still tend to our apple orchards and vineyards, to make sure they keep growing healthily and bear fruit.
