A great location
The Babioshof farm is in an idyllic locality known as St. Anton, only a 15-minute walk from the centre of Kaltern an der Weinstraße, a picturesque little town in South Tyrol. Immersed in its own vineyards, it enjoys a great location – quiet, yet central enough to make it an excellent starting point for hikes, sightseeing trips and bike tours. There are direct bus services to the centre of Kaltern, the other villages in the area, the provincial capital Bozen and the Mendelbahn lift valley terminal, and the bus stop is conveniently just a few steps from our door.
From a farm to a holiday farm
Welcome, dear guests! We are Michael and Silvia, along with our sons, Maximilian and Johannes, and Michael’s parents, Stefan and Imma. In our family, we have been passionately cultivating fruit and wine orchards for generations. We know how lucky we are to live here, where the sun and scents of the Mediterranean world meet the delights of the South Tyrolean tradition and landscape. In fact, it is such a privilege that we really wanted to share it. This is why, in 2017, we came up with an idea to make our dream come true… and this is how Babioshof started. Come and visit us

Where is the Babioshof located?
The Babioshof enjoys a peaceful location in the St. Anton district of Kaltern, surrounded by vineyards and offering beautiful panoramic views. The centre of Kaltern is around a 15-minute walk away. The Mendel funicular and a bus stop are also close by.

At the Babioshof, traditional farming roots meet modern comfort. You will stay in spacious, carefully furnished holiday apartments while experiencing the authentic atmosphere of a fruit and wine farm surrounded by nature.
Who is behind the Babioshof?
We are a host family that has been involved in fruit growing and viticulture for several generations. In 2017, we fulfilled our dream of opening our farm to guests, and since then we have been delighted to share a little piece of the South Tyrolean way of life with them.
Is the Babioshof suitable for families?
Yes. All our holiday apartments feature two bedrooms and two bathrooms, offering plenty of space for families. Around the farm, there are lots of opportunities to explore, play and relax. A playground in the garden and a common room provide even more variety during your stay.
Who is a holiday at the Babioshof particularly suitable for?
Our holiday apartments are ideal for many different types of stays. They offer plenty of space and privacy for couples, but are equally well suited to two couples travelling together or a young family with a baby enjoying a holiday with grandparents. With two separate bedrooms and two bathrooms, everyone has their own private space while still spending the holiday together.
Are the holiday apartments at the Babioshof wheelchair accessible?
Our holiday apartments are not fully barrier-free. However, two of the apartments are located entirely on one level and, depending on individual requirements, may also be suitable for guests using a wheelchair. Please note that there are no specific accessibility features such as grab rails. We will be happy to advise you personally so that you can determine before your arrival whether the apartment meets your individual needs.
